What is Safety Connect and Lexus Enform?

Safety Connect™ helps drivers stay secure on the road. Drivers can be in touch with our 24/7 response center at the touch of a button. In case of an accident, Safety Connect is like an added safety net. This service helps provide quick response and care from emergency service providers.

The Lexus Enform™ system provides all of the Safety Connect features and adds an extra level of convenience. Two premium features, Destination Assist and eDestination, help drivers locate and manage destinations. These services help keep drivers informed and prepared on the road. Lexus Enform Subscription is required.

Safety Connect™ and Lexus Enform™ with Safety Connect™ are available on select 2010 equipped vehicles manufactured after August 1, 2009.

eDestination

eDestination allows drivers to use an exclusive search tool on LexusDrivers.com, the Lexus Owners' Web site, to search, store, and send hand-picked locations to their vehicle's navigation system.

Drivers can organize and store up to 200 destinations, and sort them into up to 20 personalized folders. They can even add personal notes or memos that will also appear in the vehicle. Then, once the destinations are saved, the driver sends them wirelessly to their vehicle's navigation system, where they can be downloaded for easy route guidance.



 

Destination Assist

Destination Assist provides 24-hour access to the Lexus Enform™ response center for help finding destinations or points of interest. Drivers can contact the response center while on the road, using voice commands or the navigation system, for help locating a specific address, business, restaurant, or other point of interest-even Zagat-Rated restaurants.

The response center agent can wirelessly send the destination directly to the vehicle's navigation system for easy map guidance.



Roadside Assistance

Safety Connect™ enhances the four years of Roadside Assistance provided for every new Lexus vehicle by adding GPS data, so response center agents can dispatch a local service provider to the vehicle's location to help with such things as towing, jump-starting, changing a tire, or delivering emergency fuel.



Emergency Assistance

The Emergency Assistance Button (SOS) directly connects drivers to the Safety Connect™ response center for assistance and support in on-road emergencies. Response center agents are available 24 hours a day, and can request dispatch of local emergency services to the vehicle's location.



Automatic Collision Notification

Automatic Collision Notification is designed to notify the Safety Connect™ response center in the event of airbag deployment or a severe rear-end collision. Via the vehicle's embedded cellular technology and GPS data, the response center agent will attempt to speak with the vehicle's occupants. The agent will then contact local emergency services to request dispatch of assistance to the vehicle's location.



Safety Connect Stolen Vehicle Location

Safety Connect™ Stolen Vehicle Location provides increased vehicle security and makes vehicles less desirable to thieves. Once a police report is filed, the Safety Connect Response center can work with police to help track and recover the vehicle using Safety Connect's embedded cellular and GPS technology.
